OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE - $395
Open Water scuba certification is the
basic entry level diver training. With this certification, divers can acquire equipment from virtually any dive operator in the world. There are three phases of learning. Knowledge Development comes first to learn the basic principles of scuba diving. Students read the Open Water Diver textbook (included in the course fee), watch the Open Water Diver DVD, and take some simple exams. Water instruction follows with Confined Water Training usually at a swimming pool. Note that the pool may be family owned such as a backyard swimming pool, provided it has a diving board depth and meets certain other confined water standards. This is followed by a series of Open Water Dives usually at a local scuba park or lake. This is the ultimate
course for scuba instruction. It provides small group training with the instructor and is ideal for the couple or family that wants scuba certification. Note that the minimum age for scuba certification is 10 years old. Click HERE for more information.
